Jon Prosser leaked several key dates of Apple’s release schedule for several upcoming devices including the iPhone 12, Apple Watch Series 6, and more. These dates include the press release dates, event dates, pre-order dates, and more.

The first devices Prosser expects to be announced is the Apple Watch Series 6 and iPad (8th Generation). These two devices will be announced via Press Release on Apple Newsroom, which Apple have done for several products this year. There will be no special event for these devices, unlike previous years. Prosser estimates that this announcement will be taking place in Week 37 of 2020, which he expects to be on the week commencing of September 7th.

The iPhone 12 event, which is where all four models of the upcoming iPhone 12 will be announced, is anticipated by Prosser to be happening sometime during the week of October 12th (the 42nd week of the year).

Prosser expects the iPhone 12 and 12 Max models to be open for pre-orders and start shipping to consumers before the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. He’s estimating that iPhone 12 and 12 Max pre-orders will go live during the week of October 12th with devices shipping to consumers during the week of October 19th.

The higher-end models, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, have much less information compared to the models aforementioned. Prosser says that these devices will have their pre-orders open and will begin shipping in the month of November, but provides no exact date.

Lastly, Prosser says that the dates he has shared could change in the future. This is due to the staggered releases of all four iPhone models this year.

The last iPhone to release in November was the iPhone X back in 2017. Of course, this year’s release schedule isn’t normal for Apple, but delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic have caused several issues during the development of these models, particularly the Pro models.
