Today, Apple announced that Apple Fitness+ will be available to use on December 14th.
Apple Fitness+ is a new subscription service that helps you workout at home with trainers using pre-recorded videos recorded at the Fitness Studio in Apple Park. Each trainer will upload new workout videos each week.
Your Apple Watch syncs with the video and displays your heart rate, time, ring progress (Calories, Exercise, Stand), and more. Your Apple Watch stats will show on whatever device you are using Apple Fitness+ on.
Apple Fitness+ offers eight different workouts at launch, including Treadmill Walk, Treadmill Run, Dance, HIIT, Rowing, Yoga, Strength, Core, Mindful Cool-down, and Cycling. You can choose the duration you would like your workout to be, the intensity of the workout, and the music playing in the background.
Although you don’t need equipment for most workouts, Apple does say that for some workouts, you may require equipment such as yoga mats, dumbbells, stationary bike, treadmill, or a rowing machine.
Apple Fitness+ is available December 14th through the Fitness app on iPhone, iPad, and/or Apple TV. It costs $9.99/£9.99/€9.99 per month or $79.99/£79.99/€79.99 per year. All current Apple Watch owners will get one month free and any new Apple Watch owners that have bought a Series 3 or later on or after September 15th 2020 will get 3 months free. Apple Fitness+ is also included in a Premium Tier Apple One subscription. It is also compatible with Family Sharing.
Apple Fitness+ will be available in the US, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand at launch.
