Apple Fitness+ is available now alongside iOS 14.3 in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
Apple Fitness+ is a new subscription service that helps you workout with trainers using pre-recorded videos recorded at the Fitness Studio in Apple Park. Each trainer will upload new workout videos each week.
Your Apple Watch syncs with the video and displays your heart rate, time, ring progress (Calories, Exercise, Stand), and more. Your Apple Watch stats will show on whatever device you are using Apple Fitness+ on.
Apple Fitness+ offers eight different workouts at launch, including Treadmill Walk, Treadmill Run, Dance, HIIT, Rowing, Yoga, Strength, Core, Mindful Cool-down, and Cycling. You can choose the duration you would like your workout to be, the intensity of the workout, and the music playing in the background.
Although you don’t need equipment for most workouts, Apple does say that for some workouts, you may require equipment such as yoga mats, dumbbells, stationary bike, treadmill, or a rowing machine.
On iPhone, Apple Fitness+ will be accessible from the ‘Fitness+’ tab in the Fitness app. On iPad, a ‘Fitness’ app will be available to download from the App Store. On Apple TV, you will be able to download the Fitness app too. Apple Fitness+ requires iOS 14.3, iPadOS 14.3, and tvOS 14.3.
Apple Fitness+ is compatible with iPhone 6s or iPhone SE (1st generation) and later and requires an Apple Watch Series 3 or later running watchOS 7.2. On iPad, Fitness+ is compatible with any generation of iPad Pro, iPad (5th generation or later), iPad mini 4 or later, iPad Air 2, or iPad Air (3rd generation or later). Apple Fitness+ is only supported on Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD.
Apple Fitness+ is available now and costs $9.99/£9.99/€9.99 per month or $79.99/£79.99/€79.99 per year. All current Apple Watch owners will get one month free and any new Apple Watch owners that have bought a Series 3 or later on or after September 15th 2020 will get 3 months free. Apple Fitness+ is also included in a Premium Tier Apple One subscription.
Apple Fitness+ is also compatible with Family Sharing, meaning up to six people in your family can avail of Apple Fitness+ through their different Apple IDs.
