Apple are ready to announce the upcoming AirTags at the next Apple Event in November, according to .
AirTags are Apple’s upcoming bottle cap-sized trackers that can be attached to your items (e.g. keys, backpack, etc.) and tracked using the ‘Find My’ app on your iPhone. AirTags are expected to have the U1 chip, Apple’s name for their custom Ultra Wideband (UWB) chip that will help the iPhone show the precise location of the item the tag is attached to.
Prosser says that Apple’s final performance testing for the upcoming AirTags will be completed on November 6th. Additionally, Prosser says that after the final performance testing stage is completed, the products normally ship within 30 days.
Due to the testing stage being almost complete, Prosser expects the AirTags to be officially announced by Apple at the upcoming November Event, which is expected to take place on November 17th.
Although Apple haven’t officially confirmed a November event, many leakers have suggested that Apple still have a lot of products left to announce this year, including Apple Silicon Macs, AirPods Studio, and AirTags.
