Apple made some slight changes to its 2018 MacBook Air which launched in November of last year. The biggest crib of this new MacBook Air was its price, which started at $1,299. However, today Apple changed their minds on the original pricing and decided to lower the price from the original price of $1,299 to $1,099 for regular consumers.
Alongside the price drop for regular customers, Apple have introduced in a pricing plan to make the MacBook Air cheaper for students. If you are a student, you will now be able to get the 2018 MacBook Air for $999, which is $100 cheaper than the regular price.
Also, the 2018 MacBook Air’s Retina Display has also received True Tone, the screen technology which adapts its colour to your surroundings.
This is a significant price drop for Apple. I think this is a brilliant move. While I think the new MacBook Air is a great computer, I feel like the price is what truly kills it. This price drop makes it comparable to the previous generation of MacBook Air, price-wise. As for students, this price drop makes it fantastic for keeping the laptop budget under $1000.
