New 10.8” iPad Air, 8” iPad mini, and 23” iMac to be Arriving before End of 2020; mini-LED iPad Pro in 2021

According to a new report from DigiTimes, Apple will be releasing a new 10.8” iPad Air, a new iPad mini, and a new iMac before the end of 2020. Alongside this, DigiTimes says that Apple will be launching a new iPad Pro with a mini-LED display in the first half of 2021.

The new iPad Air will be getting a size increase. The 3rd Generation iPad Air, which was announced by Apple in March 2019, uses a 10.5” display. This means that the new iPad Air will be getting a size bump from 10.5” to 10.8”. This is not the first time that we have heard of a size increase for the iPad Air.

As for the iMac, up until now, Apple have only offered the iMac in two sizes – 21.5” and 27”. According to all the recent leaks, it would seem like Apple are going to remove the 21.5” and replace it with the 23” model, which will feature a completely redesigned chassis, the T2 chip, an iPad Pro-esque design, and thin bezels. It is unknown if Apple will discontinue the 27” iMac in favour of a bigger size.

The rumoured iPad mini will be getting a size bump from it’s regular 7.9” screen size, but it’s unknown how much of a size increase the iPad mini will be getting. The current 5th Generation iPad mini uses a 7.9” display, and DigiTimes says that the iPad mini screen will be increasing to 8.x, and does not specify by how much it will be increasing.

Finally, DigiTimes speaks about a new 12.9” iPad Pro that will be arriving in the first half of 2020. The special thing about this iPad is that it will utilise a mini-LED display, a feature that has been rumoured to be arriving to the iPad Pro for a long time.
