Reliable Apple leaker @komiya_kj has released the expected pricing, storage configurations, and battery configurations for the upcoming iPhone 12 models.
Starting off with pricing and storage, komiya_kj says that the pricing and storage configurations for all four iPhone 12 models is as follows:
iPhone 12 5G (5.4”)
- 64GB – $699
- 128GB – $749
- 256GB – $849
iPhone 12 Max 5G (6.1”)
- 64GB – $799
- 128GB – $849
- 256GB – $949
iPhone 12 Pro (6.1”) – 5G included (no 4G option)
- 128GB – $1049
- 256GB – $1149
- 512GB – $1349
iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7”) – 5G included (no 4G option)
- 128GB – $1149
- 256GB – $1249
- 512GB – $1449
@komiya_kj says that should Apple introduce a 4G version of the iPhone 12 and 12 Max, those models will be about $50 to $100 cheaper than the models listed above. The iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max are not expected to have 4G counterparts.
@komiya_kj also says that the prices listed above will be maximum amount Apple will price this year’s iPhone models at. He suggests that the real prices may be about $50 lower than the amounts listed above.
In addition to the pricing and storage configurations, @komiya_kj also released the expected battery sizes for the upcoming iPhone 12 models, which is as follows (previous models beside new models for reference):
- 2,227mAh (iPhone SE (2nd Generation) is 1821 mAh)
iPhone 12 Max
- 2,815mAh (iPhone 11 is 3110 mAh)
iPhone 12 Pro
- 2,775mAh (iPhone 11 Pro is 3,046 mAh)
iPhone 12 Pro Max
- 3,687mAh (iPhone 11 Pro Max is 3,969 mAh)
As for why the iPhone 12 Pro has a smaller battery compared to the cheaper iPhone 12 Max, @komiya_kj says the reason for this is that the iPhone 12 Pro has much bigger camera components compared the iPhone 12 Max. In order to make room inside the iPhone for the larger camera components, Apple likely reduced the size of the battery.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max is also getting a smaller battery compared to the iPhone 11 Pro Max due to the addition of the LiDAR sensor and bigger camera comments.
That is all the information @komiya_kj shared today, but it does give more insight into what the new iPhones might be like. The four new iPhone 12 models are expected to be announced by Apple at an online event similar to WWDC this September.
