Kang, a highly reliable Apple leakers with an extremely good track record, has released a lot of details about the upcoming iPhone 12, including release dates, camera specs, pricing, storage sizes, and more. Kang also spoke about the HomePod mini and new wireless chargers named MagSafe.
Starting with the HomePod mini, Kang says that this product will begin at a price of $99 and will be 3.3” tall (8.38cm) and will be equipped with the S5 chip. The S5 chip is the same SoC used in the Apple Watch Series 5.
This year, there are four iPhone 12 models – iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Below is a list of the all leaked specifications that Kang shared:

The iPhone 12 box will not come with any chargers or headphones. But, Apple are changing a few things about Wireless charging in their iPhones. The Wireless charging inside the iPhones will be renamed to MagSafe. Additionally, Apple are planning on bringing out two new wireless chargers named ‘MagSafe Charger’ and ‘MagSafe Duo Charger’. This could very well be an upgraded version of the ill-fated AirPower. Wireless charging power is also being increased to 15W.
The iPhone 12 Pro camera specs have leaked also, which you can see below:
Model | Lenses | Aperature | Focal Length | Optical Zoom |
iPhone 12 Pro | Wide Angle Ultra-Wide Angle Telephoto with 7P lens LIDAR | f/1.6 | 52mm telephoto | 4x |
iPhone 12 Pro Mac | Wide Angle Ultra-Wide Angle Telephoto with 7P lens LIDAR | f/1.6 | 65mm telephoto | 5x |
The biggest difference between the two is that the iPhone 12 Pro Max has a 47% larger sensor than the iPhone 12 Pro. Additionally, all iPhone models will be able to shot Dolby Vision directly.
That is all the information about the iPhone 12 and HomePod mini that Kang shared today. It should be noted that Kang has a track record of about 95%<, so this information could certainly be accurate. Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 12 series at the “Hi, Speed” event next week.
