A new report from the Chinese news site, Economic Daily News, suggests that Apple have two new products up their sleeve that will be going into production soon enough.
The report from the EDC says that the new 10.2” iPad, which has been rumoured for quite some time now, will be starting production this month.Of course, we don’t know what this iPad will look like, but I don’t think it will look like the new 2018 iPad Pros. It will probably just be an iteration of the current 2018 iPad 9.7″ with some changes in display size. I would expect some internal improvements such as the A11 Bionic chip instead of the A12 to keep costs down. The other product mentioned by the Economic Daily News is the much-rumoured 16” MacBook Pro which supposedly will begin production in the Fall.
The new 16” MacBook Pro’s rumours have been gradually becoming more and more prominent as time progresses, with the most recent rumour suggesting that it would feature a new, non-butterfly keyboard design. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I actually will miss the Butterfly keyboard. I will be first to admit it has problems, but I actually really like typing on the Butterfly keyboards.
I’m really happy to hear this news as both the iPad and MacBook Pro are some of my favourite Apple products. I’m a huge fan of MacBook design, so I’m excited to see where it goes with the 16” MacBook Pro. All I want in the next generation of MacBooks is the glowing Apple logo (please Apple!). As for the 10.2” iPad, I don’t think it will be that much of an improvement over the current 2018 iPad. Still, I’m curious as to what changes will be made in this version of the 9.7” iPad.
