Apple have just released the eighth developer beta of iOS 13 to all developers worldwide. This is following the seventh developer beta which launched around one weeks ago. iOS 13 brings some super cool features such as Dark Mode, lyrics in Apple Music, a redesigned volume user interface, and much more to the iPhone operating system.
It seems that Apple are changing the release schedule for iOS 13 developer betas. Normally, Apple release a new beta every two weeks, however, this beta is arriving just one week after the previous betas. It’s going to probably be a weekly beat from now up until the official golden master release in the middle of September.
The Apple Developer Beta allows you to test pre-release iOS, macOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and tvOS firmwares before it launches to the public in the Fall. The Apple Developer license costs $99 a year, do get a lot more from that price than just access to pre-release software. By gaining a developer license, you are given the ability to publish apps on the App Store and much more.
Of course, if you don’t want to pay the $99 a year, but you still want to test pre-release Apple software, you can sign up for the iOS 13 Public Beta by signing up for Apple Developer with your Apple ID. It’s free to do so, so I would recommend it if you want to beta test Apple Software! Of course, I would not recommend installing this beta on your own main devices and these pre-release firmwares are always filled with bugs, glitches, and other faults you would not normally experience day-to-day.
You can download iOS 13 Beta 8 now, either by downloading the IPSW file from the Apple Developer Portal or by downloading the update via OTA (Over-the-Air). To download by OTA, navigate to the Settings app > General > Software Update and click ‘Download and Install’ to begin the update process.
Let us know if you will installing the eighth iOS 13 beta on your iPhone or if you’ll be waiting for the public beta to launch! The public beta for this version of iOS normally launches a day or two after the developer version comes out, so you shouldn’t have to wait too long before gaining access.
Also, we will be covering all the new features and changes coming in this version of this iOS 13 beta, so stay tuned for that! 🙂
