9to5Mac once again revealed some new details about the upcoming iOS 14 update, which is rumoured to be unveiled at the yet-to-be announced WWDC conference in June.
According to 9to5Mac, Apple plan on introducing a new home screen interface in iOS 14. The new list view will show users all the apps currently installed on their devices all on one page. Perhaps it could be similar to the list view instead of the array of app bubbles/icons on the Apple Watch.
The report also mentions that you will be given sorting options for the new list view. 9to5Mac says that you will be able to sort your apps by various categories such as “Recently Used”, or apps that have unread notifications.
The last point that is mentioned in the report is that the new list view will include a section for Siri Suggestions, which will change the recommended applications based on certain conditions. The example the report gives is that when you arrive at the gym, Siri will suggest you open the Music app.
iOS 14 is scheduled to be announced at WWDC 2020, although recent reports suggest that Apple may cancel the event due to concerns over the COVID-19 virus outbreak.
