Apple Leaker Macotakara () has shared more information about the iPhone 12, including the design, new SIM Card Slot location, and a new speaker layout for all four new iPhones.
These leaked dummy models show 4 iPhone 12 models, which consists of a 5.4” non-Pro model, two 6.1” models (one is Pro), and the high-end 6.7” iPhone 12 Pro Max. The dummy models also show the new iPad Pro-esque design that this year’s iPhone’s will be utilising. Both Macotakara and the dummy models also confirm that the iPhone 12 will retain the proprietary Lightning Port.
All models of this year’s iPhones will have minimum two cameras, with both Pro models having 3 cameras. Both the dual-camera and triple-camera arrays will be a similar design to how they look on the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro series.
Macotakara says that Apple are moving the SIM Card slot from the Power Button side of the iPhone to the Volume Button side. On the Power Button side, a new 5G AiP module will be added in the previous location of the SIM Card slot.
The speakers for all the models has also been shared in all four models, and shows some very interesting changes from Apple. The base 5.4” model will be getting 6 speakers in total, with only two on the left hand side. Both the non-Pro and Pro 6.1” model will be 8 in total, with three on the left hand side. As for the high-end iPhone 12 Pro Max, Macotakara say this model will be getting 10 speaker holes in total, with 6 on the right side and 4 on the left side.
The iPhone 12 is expected to be launching this October/November, with the official announcement from Apple expected to occur in September.
