Apple leaker has said today that Apple’s upcoming iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will feature a ProMotion 120Hz display.
Alongside this, he also says that Apple will be including a setting that will allow the user to reduce the refresh rate from 120Hz to 60Hz. The reason for this setting is to allow for better battery life. also says that the ProMotion display will stay at 120Hz all the time at top quality, and will not change refresh rates as you use the device or based on the content on the screen.
The leaker specifically mentions that the display in the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will be unlike the Samsung Galaxy S20’s display, where the user has the option of setting the display resolution and refresh rate to 1080p at 120Hz or 1440p at 60Hz. The leaker is saying the iPhone 12 will stay at 120Hz at all times.
The leaker also says that Apple will not be including EarPods in the iPhone 12 box, although is unsure about whether or not Apple will include a charger in the box.
Recent leakers have suggested that Apple are removing the charger from the iPhone 12 box in favour of offering an optional 20W charger that can be bought separately.
