on Twitter has shared screenshots on Twitter that reportedly show the apple.com tech specs comparison between the iPhone 11 Pro and the upcoming iPhone 12 Pro Max. In these comparison images, iPhone 11 Pro is on the left; iPhone 12 Pro Max is on the right.
Beginning with the first screenshot, which depicts the “Splash, Water, and Dust Resistant” tech specs section, the iPhone 12 Pro Max will have the same IP68 water resistance rating as the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, which allows your iPhone to have a maximum depth of 4 metres for up to 30 minutes. The iPhone 12 Pro will also be getting the A14 Bionic and the fourth generation Neural Engine, which isn’t really a surprise.
The third screenshot shows the Camera tech specs compared to the iPhone 11 Pro. The leak says that Apple will be increasing the megapixels of the iPhone 12 Pro rear camera to 16MP. It will continue to have three cameras – Wide, Ultra Wide, and Telephoto. The screenshot also says that Night Mode will become ‘Enhanced Night Mode’, which was leaked a few days ago. The rear camera array will gain a LiDAR sensor, as has been widely rumoured. Aperture, auto adjustments, image stabilisation, bokeh effects, Portrait Modes, Smart HDR, Flash, True Tone Flash, and zoom will be staying the same as the iPhone 11 Pro.
In terms of video recording, the 12 Pro Max will be getting a slight upgrade. With iPhone 12 Pro Max, you will be able to record 4K at 24 fps, 30 fps, 60 fps, or 120 fps. HD Video recording, dynamic range, optical image stabilisation, zoom, and QuickTake video will be remaining the same as the iPhone 11 Pro.
Lastly, shared the alleged tech specifications of the iPhone 12 Pro Max’s display. Like the iPhone 11 Pro, the iPhone 12 Pro Max will retain the Super Retina XDR display, HDR, 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, true tone, P3 Colour Gamut, Haptic Touch, and will have a typical brightness of 800 nits. The only differences in this screenshot is the size and pixel resolution of the iPhone 12 Pro Max display. According to the screenshot, the iPhone 12 Pro Max will use a 6.7” OLED display at a pixel resolution of 2788-by-1284 at 460 ppi (pixels per inch).
That is all the screenshots that we shared by LeaksApplePro. Of course, as with all leaks, take this one with a grain of salt. LeaksApplePro doesn’t have a track record yet, so it may be fake or real. If this leak it to be believed, it really seems like this year’s Pro iPhone models won’t be getting too big an upgrade compared to their predecessors.
It’s likely less than a month or so before Apple officially announce the next generation of iPhones. Then, and only then, will we know exactly what new features are coming with the iPhone 12.
