Apple released the sixth iOS 13 beta one weeks ago today. Over the past week using iOS 13 Beta 6, I’ve found it to be quite an improvement over the previous developer betas of iOS 13. As we get closer to the release date of iOS 13, I’m getting more and more curious what new features, changes, and other things Apple may decide to add in last minute. So, when will iOS 13 Developer Beta 7 seed to the world?
If we look back over the history of pervious iOS beta releases with iOS 10, iOS 11, and iOS 12, we can see that Apple normally keep approximately two weeks between each beta release up until the sixth or seventh beta release, give or take. Normally after the 7th or 8th beta release, Apple change the release schedule to weekly. With iOS 13, the weekly schedule began following beta 5, which was released one week prior to the seeding of iOS 13 Beta 6. This would suggest that Apple is going to follow this weekly release schedule up until iOS 13’s predicted official release in September of this year.
So, if we follow this release cycle with iOS 13 and the previous two betas, we will see that iOS 13 Beta 7 should potentially be launching today, Wednesday the 14th of August. This would line up with the release schedule of iOS 13 Beta 5 and Beta 6, which were one week apart.
As for Public Beta developers, the Public Beta normally launches about one day following the release of the Developer beta. This would mean that the public beta should be launching on Thursday the 15th of August.
Of course, Apple can change their release schedule at any time, so please don’t rely entirely on this information. This is merely a guess based on previous release dates of iOS 10, 11, and 12. Apple may have changed the schedule completely for iOS 13.
Anyway, I’m very much hoping that today is the day for iOS 13’s newest beta! Beta 6, which is the beta developers are currently running, has been a pleasure to use daily. I can only imagine that Beta 7 would improve upon Beta 6!
