Today, iOS developer and hacker Guilherme Rambo ( on Twitter) revealed that the yet-to-be-announced Apple Watch Series 5 will feature a new watch face, which according to him, will be inspired by the Nike Windrunner jackets.
The Windrunner is a jacket made by Nike, and is available in a variety of different colours, including red and white, black and white, and more. Rambo is saying that this new face will be inspired by this design. He also added that this new face will have support for up to five complications.
It’s unknown whether or not this watch face will be available across all Apple Watch Series 5 models, or just the Nike ones. Rambo does say in this tweet “coming to this years Apple Watches” in reference to the new face. Considering he doesn’t explicitly say that the new face will be arriving exclusively to the Nike+ Apple Watch Series 5, I would say it’s safe to assume that it will be all Series 5 models.
Not much has been leaked this year about the Apple Watch Series 5. Last year, there were rumours that it would have the ability to check your blood pressure, but we haven’t heard much since. It is rumoured that it will retain a very similar design to the Apple Watch Series 4, which I think is already a great design with very little room for improvement.
The Apple Watch Series 5 is scheduled to unveiled at the Apple Special Event on Tuesday the 10th of September! Alongside the Apple Watch, we are expecting three new iPhones named the iPhone 11 (Pro), iPhone 11 Pro Max, and iPhone 11R (yeah, naming is a bit of a problem at the moment).
Let us know what you think of this news! We’d love to hear from you in the comments or on Twitter !
