Apple have just released the fifth beta for iOS 12.4 to all developers. iOS 12.4 has been heavily overshadowed by its cooler and more interesting brother, iOS 13, but that doesn’t mean that iOS 12.4 has no new interesting features. This is likely the final beta for this version of iOS as Apple plan to launch Apple Card, the new Credit Card by Apple and Goldman-Sachs, alongside iOS 12.4.
We recently found out that Apple Retail employees in the United States has gained access to the Apple Card ahead of release and images of it have been leaking online.
iOS 12.4’s previous beta have not included anything new, and I’m not expecting this version to be any different. It’s available to download now via IPSW from Apple Developer and install via iTunes on PC/Mac. You can also, unlike iOS 13, install the update via OTA (Over-The-Air) in Settings > Software Update. You can install iOS 12.4 Developer Beta 5 on both iPhone and iPad.
It should be noted that if you are running the iOS 13 Developer Beta, you all not be able to install the iOS 12.4 beta. You have to remove the iOS 13 profile and re-install the iOS 12.4 Beta Profile available from Apple Developer.
