‘AirTags’ mentioned in official Apple Support video

Update: The video has been placed on Private, so it unavailable to watch, however, there’s a screenshot of it below.

Apple have accidentally revealed the name for their newest and long-rumoured accessory, AirTags, in a new upload to the official Apple Support YouTube channel.

The video, which was to show how to erase your iPhone, moves through the motions to erase your iPhone properly. However, at one point, around the 1:44 mark, there is a description underneath a setting named “Enable Offline Finding”. Underneath this toggle, there is a description that says:

“Offline Finding enables the finding of this device and AirTags to be found when not connected to Wi-Fi or Cellular”

A screenshot from the video. The AirTags are mentioned in the area highlighted in red

This is the first time that Apple have officially acknowledged that they are working on this kind of device, and this is the first piece of solid proof that Apple will be naming this accessory “AirTags”.

The video is probably going to be removed from YouTube any moment now, (UPDATE: It has been put on Private) but there’s a screenshot below to show the error made by Apple.
